Zero-in Centering Technology
The Perfect Companion to a Stud Finder
Zero-In is a new product designed to fit into the stud finder/laser
level market. The patent pending product was developed to assist contractors
or do-it-yourselfers in drilling a hole at a precise spot from a blind
side.
For
example, if you need to drill through a brick wall from
outside of your home and run that new HDTV antenna cable
“exactly” in the bottom corner of your den, then Zero-In
is your tool. If you need to precisely install ductwork
in an older home or carefully place that new water pipe
through a ceramic tile kitchen wall then Zero-In is definitely
the tool for you.
Zero-In uses an emitter that is placed on one side of a wall, ceiling,
floor, etc., where a hole needs to be exactly drilled. The receiver,
shaped like a big “O” or donut is used on the other side of the wall
(drilling side) to detect the emitter’s signal.
The receiver is moved around the outside area adjacent to where the
emitter is thought to be. As it nears the emitter, an audible tone
is given off letting the user know he is in the vicinity of the target.
He moves the receiver in a circular pattern, like washing a window
until the audible tone beeps faster and becomes louder. The LED bars
will light once he has ”Zeroed-In” to the emitter. When he is exactly
centered over the emitter, all bars or LEDs will light and the tone
is steady. He can mark his spot through the center hole and drill.
It is exact every time!
Available for Licensing
The Zero-In technology and its logos are available for licensing
and/or purchase. The technology has not yet been licensed, but we
have talked to numerous Stud Finder manufacturers and others to gauge
their interest. All of them want to purchase the technology outright.
Although the technology could be sold, we prefer to enter an exclusive
license with one manufacture.
The Intellectual Property
Zero-In, invented by Sam Gasque, had a provisional patent filed by
the patent firm, Dority and Manning (Bernie Klosowski) in Greenville,
SC. The firm represents many prestigious national and international
clients.
A broad utility patent was later filed along with a recent Continuation-In-Part.
An extensive patent search was performed prior to the official filing.
Trademark registration has also been filed on the name Zero-In and
its logo. Licensing and/or a purchase would, of course, include
the trademark.
